Breathable film line has the same extrusion process as other cast film lines, but equipped with the MDO (machine direction orientation) unit. Filled with appr. 50% percentage of CaCo3, the film is stretched by MDO unit to make micro pores inside. Those high-density micro pores in the film allow the gas or water vapor to transmit but stop the liquid flow. So it gets the name as "breathable film". Its outstanding features not only can be found in "breathable", but also in textile-like hand feeling, making it an ideal backsheet for diaper and sanitary napkin.
The main application fields of breathable plastic films include personal hygiene care products, medical protective products (such as medical mattresses, protective clothing, surgical gowns, surgical sheets, thermal compresses, medical pillowcases, etc.), clothing linings, and accessories for pharmaceutical packaging.
Wellson breathable film production line applies a special bimetallic screw extrusion control system. By optimizing the design of the flow channel, it can better improve the melt flow rate and the plasticizing effect of the raw material, and meet the special extrusion requirements of the resin raw material. By adopting the world-class pendant hanger-type runner design, the fully automatic die head and the high-precision automatic thickness detection and control system can more effectively track and control the horizontal and vertical thickness uniformity of the film, thereby ensuring its high quality. This is critical to ensure subsequent processing and problem-free stretching of the film.
Breathable film is growingly used in those fields such as baby diaper, sanitary napkin, medical dressings, and waterproof membrane for roof underlay.
